A Refreshed Home for Woldon’s Cotswolds Architects
Woldon reveal an updated home for our Cotswolds team
We are pleased to reveal our refreshed Cotswolds Office, a converted former apple store and dovecote on the Campden House Estate in Gloucestershire. This eighteenth century building has housed our Cotswolds team since 2016 and, as the team has grown, so too the demand for space.
The brief for the design team was to form a bright meeting and conference room from a former storage space, a welcoming and characterful place for our team to work with our clients and partners supported by current IT requirements.
With the pandemic rearing its head during construction, the team decided to introduce antimicrobial finishes to the fittings with copper and brass ironmongery throughout the office. Services were enhanced with a refurbished kitchenette and WC facility separating the meeting room and studio space. Exercise is catered for with the addition of a shower and cycle storage.
This refurbishment marks a new chapter for the Cotswolds team and as Woldon Architects grows we continue to immerse ourselves in a creative and inspirational environment.
The ground floor reception, with historic carved timber detailing and tongue and groove panelling, provides a cross-over space with our model-making facility sitting alongside natural oak benches serving a mess facility for both the practice and staff from the surrounding historic gardens.
This refurbishment marks a new chapter for the Cotswolds team and as Woldon Architects grows we continue to immerse ourselves in a creative and inspirational environment. Watch this space for the restoration of our dovecote!
