Westbourne Terrace

Comprehensive Refurbishment of Grade II Listed Apartment celebrating the inherent character of the historic building.

The project entailed full reconfiguration of the internal space of this second storey apartment in Westminster. A highly efficient sequence and layout of spaces was crafted, producing an additional accommodation and service spaces concentrated in a single location at the centre of the layout. Woldon obtained Listed Building Consent for the works and liaised with the Freehold to assist the client in obtaining a Licence to Alter.

The exceptional ceiling height is celebrated throughout the apartment with original ceilings and cornices restored. Harmony is lent through the introduction of a stained oak parquet floor and the use of 2.4metre high traditional doors. Historic hearths were uncovered to restore focus to the two reception rooms, with substantial double doors providing versatility and flow.
