Fitzwarrens Park

Woldon have received instruction for a stunning stone replacement farmhouse, which sits within an AONB. The former residential property was out-dated, with poor internal connections and poorly executed extensions. The cramped spaces left limited opportunity for the client’s aspiration for entertaining and social family gatherings.

Our proposed designs include a two-winged property with a barn like volume that interconnects, achieving far-reaching views to the countryside and sea beyond. The house is increased in size to accommodate the extended family and also allows effortless movement through all spaces and rooms.

Bedrooms have increased to 6, with contemporary en-suites and dressing areas. Design of a central family living space is a generous double height open volume, which allow for the much-anticipated family gatherings and socialising around the fireplace.

The property sits in 240 rolling acres of agricultural land and the immediate residential landscape in designed to capture the evening sunsets and provide shelter in the afternoon sun. Further designs within the grounds include for a swimming pool and tennis court.

The masterplan has unlocked the possibilities to be found in replacement farmhouse and farm diversification policies. A series of success full planning applications and consents were granted in 2020 and 2021.
