Awards & Accolades

Robert lead the design for Argal Home Farm, a former farmstead Cornish former farmstead, into a vibrant and inspirational place to live and work. Proposals were twofold: the conversion of a traditional barn into studios for local creative enterprises and artist residencies, and the creation of a new and highly specified timber workshop facility for the client’s business. A spirit of authenticity and simplicity was pursued in the reimagining of the farm, such that the evolving needs of the client and the new Argal community could be accommodated over time.

We are delighted that Argal Home Farm has received industry recognition, obtaining the following awards:

AJ Retrofit Awards 2021 - Shortlisted

AJ Architecture Awards 2021 - Shortlisted for Workspace Workplace under 2,000m²

Dezeen Awards 2020 - Longlisted for Business Building Category

Civic Trust Awards 2020 - Regional Finalists

Private Clients

Woldon is a team of passionate designers dedicated to creating beautiful and thoughtful homes. Our work is rooted in listening carefully to our clients, understanding their ideas and developing these aspirations into a vision to inspire and excite. We work collaboratively, leading our clients on a journey through the design process, sensitive to their needs and flexible to their requirements.

Our designs reflect how you wish to live, creating flow between rooms, and inside and outside spaces. We are passionate about detail, texture and colour, and are skilled in applying and marrying natural materials.

Drawing on influences of local and international expression, we are broad-minded in our design approach. With all our homes, we look to give the design a depth and personality. Where conversion or restoration is involved, we bring clarity and cohesion to disconnected and awkward spaces. We find natural light for dull spaces and introduce new life with inspiring materials and layouts.

The relationship between the house and its garden or grounds is integral to our approach. We look at capturing and framing views of the landscape and providing connection to the garden to be enjoyed inside and out. Our urban and rural offices reflect this balance and appreciation of the variety and richness of natural landscapes.

We love our work. It is our craft and we look to share this passion with our clients to create for them exceptional homes. Homes that make your heart sing.
